About the Opportunity A leading national organisation is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Reward Specialist to join its Human Resources team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced compensation and benefits professional to play a key role in supporting and enhancing the organisation's remuneration strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring competitive and equitable reward practices, conducting remuneration analysis, managing benefits programmes, and providing specialist reward advice to business stakeholders. This position is ideally suited to a candidate who enjoys working with data, influencing reward decisions, and contributing to employee attraction and retention strategies within a large corporate environment. Key Responsibilities Reward and Compensation Support the implementation and administration of remuneration strategies and policies. Conduct salary benchmarking and market analysis to ensure external competitiveness. Analyse remuneration and benefits data, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Support annual salary review, bonus, and incentive processes. Monitor internal equity and recommend corrective actions where necessary. Participate in compensation-related projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Benefits Management Manage and administer employee benefit programmes. Liaise with brokers, consultants, and service providers. Evaluate benefit offerings and recommend enhancements. Monitor service level agreements with external providers. Job Evaluation and Grading Coordinate and support job grading and evaluation processes. Ensure consistency in grading methodologies and organisational structures. Assist in defining job levels and job families. Reporting and Analytics Compile remuneration and benefits reports for management. Analyse reward-related data to identify trends and support business decision-making. Maintain accurate reward and grading information across systems. Prepare information required for audits and governance reporting. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with HR teams and business leaders on reward-related matters. Provide expert advice on remuneration, benefits, and grading practices. Support reward governance and compliance initiatives. Minimum Requirements Qualifications Relevant Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. Experience Minimum 3–5 years' experience within a Compensation & Benefits, Reward, or Remuneration environment. Experience conducting salary benchmarking and remuneration analysis. Exposure to benefits administration and vendor management. Experience supporting annual salary review processes. Knowledge of job evaluation and grading principles. Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and numerical ability. Advanced attention to detail. Excellent reporting and data interpretation skills. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Sound understanding of South African labour legislation and employment practices. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be advantageous. High levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
