CORE FUNCTIONS Daily Processing of financial transactions on a database Checking and Verifying of External and Internal Academic claims Checking and Verifying of Overtime Claims Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department Reconcile accounts in a timely manner Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws Constantly update job knowledge QUALIFICATION(S) Studying towards a BCom or a BCom degree EXPERIENCE 2-3 year minimum experience SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks #J-18808-Ljbffr
