Overview We have a position available in Johannesburg for an experienced Stock Controller. Responsibilities Validate all data on stock reports from all warehouses (including lot numbers, bag numbers, and piece counts) and address discrepancies until corrected reports are received. Ensure the Goods Received Note is provided within 48 working hours of offloading and update the stock master data accordingly. Ensure the Goods Dispatched Note is provided within 48 working hours of cargo being dispatched from the warehouses. Ensure packing lists are submitted within 24 hours of cargo being dispatched to the port; verify the accuracy of each packing list, address anomalies immediately, and resolve any issues within one working hour. Ensure no cargo at the warehouse remains for more than 15 days from arrival; escalate and follow up to ensure timely dispatch. Prepare an accurate consolidated stock report per buyer three times weekly and share via email and WeChat groups to ensure timely communication. Ensure warehouses produce stamped stock results by the 3rd working day of each month, verify the previous month’s stock, and cross-check these results against LSP stock reports. Submit a comprehensive monthly stock report, using the standard template, to the Supervisor and Manager, covering stock status across all warehouses. Review stock aging weekly to identify and report any cargo held beyond standard turnaround times, and escalate potential bottlenecks to management. Ensure the reason for cargo aging is clearly reflected on all stock reports. Conduct a weekly audit to cross-check warehouse stock levels against offloaded data from tracking reports, ensuring all cargo is correctly accounted for and any discrepancies are identified and resolved without delay. Prepare a weekly stock time report for management, calculating the average stock time across all corridors. Salary Basic salary on offer: R 25,000.00 negotiable with benefits to be discussed.
