Minimum Requirements CA(SA) qualification or a Senior Trust Accountant with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience Extensive experience in trust accounting, trust administration, and trust tax reporting Strong knowledge of trust tax compliance and trust structures Sound understanding of the Trust Property Control Act Experience interpreting trust deeds and wills Advanced knowledge of SARS trust reporting requirements and compliance obligations Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities Key Responsibilities As the Senior Trust Accountant, you will be responsible for:Preparing trust administration statements and trust financial statements Completing trust tax computations and tax reporting requirements Drafting and reviewing Trust Distribution and Attribution Schedules Preparing and reviewing Section 7C calculations Managing trust accounting records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Interpreting trust deeds, wills, and trust structures to support accurate financial reporting Overseeing trust tax compliance and reporting obligations Managing SARS Third-Party Data Reporting requirements, including:IT3(t) IT3(d) FATCA reporting CRS compliance Providing technical guidance and trust-related expertise to internal stakeholders Identifying opportunities to enhance trust administration processes and client service offerings Delivering strategic financial insights and recommendations based on trust structures and tax considerations Maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance
