About the role The Finance Intern will assist the Finance Department with daily Financial and Administrative duties while gaining practical workplace experience in Financial Management, Accounting processes, reporting, and compliance.Responsibilities: Assist with capturing and processing financial transactions. Prepare and maintain filing of invoices, receipts, and payment documents. Assist with debtor and creditor reconciliations. Support the preparation of quotations, invoices, and statements. Assist with petty cash administration and reconciliations. Capture supplier invoices and follow up on outstanding documents. Assist with bank reconciliations and payment preparations. Maintain accurate financial records and databases. Assist with monthly financial reports and audits. Support procurement and finance administration activities. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures. Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by management. Minimum Requirements South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34. Must not have participated on the YES Programme before. Matric. National Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting or related qualification. Knowledge and Skills Basic understanding of accounting principles. Computer literacy, especially Microsoft Excel and Word. Good numerical and analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Competencies Professionalism. Integrity. Teamwork. Time management. Willingness to learn.
