Mid Art Director Location: Johannesburg Overview As a creative you will work with our passionate, multi-talented studio delivering on exceptional, integrated concepts and designs to exceed client briefs and expectations. You should be a craft‑led, platform‑neutral conceptual thinker with an understanding of all major social platforms. You will create beautiful, intuitive, human‑centred products and experiences that resonate with South African popular culture. Ability to win in this space, own creative innovation on every project, and participate in pitches for new business are essential. Responsibilities Be a conceptual thinker Stay up to date with platforms Manage your creative process on projects Work with other disciplines (Strategists, Developers, Media, Accounts, etc.) Champion creative innovation on every project you touch Participate in pitches for new business Define or apply the aesthetic of overall campaigns Manage multiple projects simultaneously Generate ideas and sell them to clients or other team members Mock up creative ideas Design across multiple channels Consistently produce creative elements against a deliverables list Participate in brainstorms & conceptualisation Lead the craft & design of your idea Compile presentations for clients and learn to present Attend client briefings & be prepared to present to clients Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Art Direction / Graphic Design Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience Strong conceptual and design skills Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Knowledge of and experience in Adobe Creative Suite applications Good communication & presentation skills Excellent multi‑tasking and time‑management abilities Can work under pressure & meet tight deadlines Problem‑solving skills Ability to provide rationales for creative choices Working knowledge of existing and emerging technologies & platforms Strong understanding of best practices in interaction and visual design principles Able to work with team members Working Knowledge Of These Tools Illustrator Photoshop InDesign After Effects KeyNote / PowerPoint Figma Google Web Designer & DV360 Facebook Creative Hub Business KPIs Demonstrate innovative ideas to the team to improve communication of our proposition Work on one sizable and two small projects at any one time with oversight Attend every project review with at least three new ideas The Person Team player who also works independently Thrives in a highly pressurized, fast‑paced environment Curious, imaginative and passionate about advertising Meticulous with attention to detail Proactive with a “can do” attitude and willingness to go the extra mile Accountable and solution‑driven Flexible to work beyond normal office hours when required Willing to work on alcohol brands when required #J-18808-Ljbffr
