We operate through UK and global carrier networks, combining open market placements, delegated authority, and reinsurance. Following a strong UK and European presence, Exance is expanding its broker and carrier relationships across South Africa and Africa, building direct placement capability under our MGA structure. Role Purpose The Marketing & Placement Executive will act as Exance’s primary placement liaison in South Africa. The role involves building broker relationships, executing risk placements via open market channels and Exance’s delegated capacity, and supporting the MGA’s expansion strategy across Africa. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in brokerages, MGAs, or carrier placement teams, combining insurance marketing, placement expertise, and relationship management. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage broker relationships across South Africa and Africa to generate quality submissions. Handle open market placements, ensuring optimal terms, conditions, and service from insurers. Through Exance’s delegated capacity, ensure compliance and underwriting protocols. Support product marketing and distribution for Surety, Financial Lines, Real Estate, and Construction. Prepare and deliver professional quotes, proposals, and marketing summaries to brokers and carriers. Collaborate with UK underwriting and compliance teams for proper documentation and risk governance. Identify new broker opportunities, assist with onboarding, performance tracking, and engagement metrics. Represent Exance at industry events, broker meetings, and trade associations in South Africa. Candidate Profile Experience: 3–7 years in insurance marketing, broking, or placement roles within South Africa. Placement Expertise: Strong track record in open market placements, with exposure to delegated capacity or MGA business. Market Knowledge: Understanding of local and regional carrier markets, intermediaries, and placement processes. Mindset: Entrepreneurial, proactive, and able to operate autonomously while coordinating with UK teams.
