Minimum requirements Relevant Financial qualification (e.g. BCom Accounting, National Diploma in Accounting or equivalent) OR a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in a Financial Administration or Bookkeeping role Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software Familiarity with SARS eFiling and statutory submissions Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day financial administration in a fuel/petroleum industry Process supplier invoices and maintain accurate creditor records Perform supplier statement reconciliations Prepare creditors age analysis and manage payment runs Manage debtor invoicing and collections Maintain debtors age analysis and follow up on overdue accounts Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations Verify daily cash-ups, manage floats, and investigate cash shortages Loading of payments on the banking system Assist with fuel dip reconciliations and shop inventory counts Investigate and report on stock variances Prepare and submit VAT201 returns Process EMP201 submissions and assist with IRP5 reconciliation Prepare payroll inputs and assist with payroll processing Process month-end journals and accruals Assist with trial balance preparation and management reporting Manage petty cash and maintain the fixed asset register Maintain an organised filing system (physical and electronic) Assist with audit queries and provide support to senior finance team Operate specialised fuel industry software (full training provided)
