High end product manufacturer are seeking a Project Development Coordinator in Randburg to ensure that new product development samples are delivered accurately, on time, and to brand quality — while maintaining control over sample workflows, supplier readiness, approvals, documentation, and future scalability of production. This role safeguards creativity turning into commercial reality. Key Responsibilities Sample Project Management Receive approved design briefs and convert into actionable sample plans Clarify requirements (materials, finishes, measurements, complexity, intended use) Create timelines and track sample progress from initiation → completion Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers Ensure realistic production expectations are communicated upfront Maintain visibility of all sample statuses (active, delayed, approved, failed) Sample Production Oversight & Delivery Arrange / facilitate the making of new samples Ensure quality alignment with brand standards Conduct first-line quality inspection before presenting to decision owners Arrange delivery to Creative Director / MD / Retail / Wholesale / Partners for approval Secure formal sign-off or rejection reasons Sample Library / Catalogue Management Build and maintain a structured sample archive system including: Physical sample storage Digital catalogue with photos Product specifications & technical sheets Version control (sample v1, v2, final approved) Notes on costings & feasibility Ensure samples are traceable, referenceable, and reusable by marketing & sales Supplier Sourcing, Vetting & Relationship Management Assist to Identify and build relationships with new production partners and makers Vet for: quality capability, ethical alignment & reliability, cost competitiveness & capacity & lead time reality Maintain supplier performance database Cross-Team Communication Act as the link between: Creative vision, Practical production & Business timelines Provide regular progress updates Flag risks early Ensure clarity and confidence in sample delivery Requirements Grade 12 Tertiary qualification in Product Development, Product Design, Fashion/Textile Design, Operations Management, Project Management or a related field Hands on experience production or product coordination experience will be highly advantageous Experience in Decorator, Textiles, Homeware or Fashion Valid drivers licence with own vehicle Personal Attributes Required Strong organisational discipline Appreciation for design + craftsmanship (not corporate only thinking) Calm under pressure, solutions-driven Strong communication & diplomacy Able to balance quality + commercial practicality Comfortable implementing structure in a creative environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
