We are currently recruiting a Field Technician to be based in Eastern Cape (Gqeberha) for a six (6) months fixed-term contract. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for the installations and maintenance of vehicle tracking and fleet management units and any additional EKS products. Responsibilities Installing, repairing, or servicing company products. Complying with administration task requirements. Liaising with the Control Room, Testing, and Scheduling departments. Maintenance of tracking devices. Qualifications and Experience Potential candidates must have experience in the installation and maintenance of tracking devices. Must be able to conduct a current draw. Excellent understanding of Fleet management and CAN bus connections. Vast knowledge of vehicle wiring. Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in installing and maintaining tracking and fleet management products. Good knowledge of motor vehicle electronics. Good fault‑finding skills and a good understanding of Fleet Management. Good client relations and communication skills. Must be a good team player, reliable, trustworthy, and have good ethics. Must be willing to travel (valid code 8 driver’s licence). Must be willing to work extra hours. Strong troubleshooting capability. Must be able to use MS Word and Excel (computer literate).
