MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS BSc Horticulture or BSc Agriculture (Plant Production or related field) National Diploma: Horticulture or equivalent NQF Level 6 or higher Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering (Agriculture), Operations Management or Production Planning Certification in Supply Chain Management, Project Management or Production Planning and Control Minimum 2–3 years in a production planning, operations coordination, or horticulture management role Prior experience in wholesale horticulture or large‑scale agriculture is a strong advantage. Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multi‑species crop schedules in a commercial growing environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — scheduling models, production dashboards, cost tracking Exposure to ERP or production management software (Pastel) Sound understanding of plant propagation biology and commercial growing principles — essential. Structured, analytical thinker who is comfortable working with production data and numbers. Strong organiser capable of managing multiple crop lines and competing priorities simultaneously. Initiative‑taking and accountable — can work independently and as part of a broader team. Hands‑on mindset — comfortable in an outdoor agricultural production environment Reliable, detail‑oriented, and committed to quality outcomes.
