We’re seeking an experienced Implementation Specialist to lead the delivery and optimisation of enterprise Customer Data Platform (CDP) and Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) capabilities across a large-scale omnichannel environment. This role sits at the intersection of customer data, identity management, compliance, automation, and digital experience, driving the implementation of scalable, secure, and real-time customer data solutions that support personalisation, loyalty, marketing activation, and compliant data governance. The successful candidate will combine strong SAP CDP expertise with CIAM and integration experience, operating within a modern automation-first delivery environment. Key Responsibilities SAP CDP Delivery Lead end-to-end SAP CDP implementations across onboarding, profile unification, activation, and data orchestration Design data models, identity resolution rules, deduplication logic, and golden record strategies Configure real-time and near-real-time data pipelines and integrations Define data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, and governance controls Produce delivery artefacts including data dictionaries, integration specifications, deployment plans, and operational documentation SAP CDC / CIAM Implement customer registration, authentication, MFA, social login, and consent management solutions Configure preference management and customer identity flows Ensure consent propagation and synchronisation across downstream systems and platforms Support secure identity and access management aligned to enterprise architecture standards Compliance & Governance Implement and support data protection controls aligned to: PoPIA PAIA ECTA Drive encryption, masking, tokenisation, retention, suppression, and audit-ready governance practices Partner with Legal, Risk, Security, and Data Governance stakeholders Support loyalty, rewards, segmentation, and customer engagement initiatives Integrate customer profiles and audiences into marketing automation platforms Enable personalisation and real-time customer activation use cases Automation & DevOps Drive automation-first delivery practices using CI/CD and configuration-as-code principles Implement automated testing, schema validation, and deployment pipelines Support GitOps-based configuration and release management practices Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with architects, engineering teams, compliance stakeholders, and business leadership Provide clear communication around delivery progress, risks, and dependencies Required Experience & Skills Technical Experience Strong hands-on experience with SAP Customer Data Platform (SAP CDP) – mandatory Experience with SAP CDC / Gigya or broader CIAM platforms Strong understanding of: Identity resolution API integrations Event-driven architectures Consent and preference management Experience with CI/CD tooling, automation, and configuration-as-code practices Familiarity with security protocols, OAuth2/OIDC, RBAC, encryption, and governance controls Knowledge of data quality, schema management, and data governance practices Preferred Background Retail, FMCG, ecommerce, loyalty, or customer engagement platform experience Exposure to marketing automation and customer activation ecosystems SAP Customer Data certifications advantageous Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field 5+ years’ experience within data platform, CDP, CIAM, or integration delivery environments Strong working knowledge of South African data protection legislation #J-18808-Ljbffr
