Main purpose of the job To work as a member of the foreign exchange and money market dealing team, executing client requests according to client mandates. Key responsibilities Foreign exchange execution (spots, forwards, swaps) Money market cash execution Managing foreign exchange exposures, money market portfolios where applicable against specified benchmarks Liaison with clients regarding foreign exchange and cash requirements Liaison with banks regarding market movements and products Develop an understanding of client businesses and investment mandates; monitor markets for opportunities/threats to client portfolios Monitor news, market information and research Contribute to daily and weekly economic reports Maintain market rates environment and provide rates and economic data to clients Requirements Qualifications: BCom or relevant financial markets degree RE5 qualification (advantageous) ACI Dealing Certificate (advantageous) Experience: Foreign exchange and money market trading experience, preferably in a corporate treasury environment, with knowledge of relevant instruments and pricing Minimum of two years foreign exchange trading experience in the market (essential) Understanding of macro-economic and business environment Basic economic report writing Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Technical analysis (advantageous) Proven ability to work independently Skills / Competencies Strong mathematical and numerical skills, including basic financial calculations High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure with good time management Strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and service orientation High ethical and professional standards Flexibility (client requirements may vary) Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, banks, and colleagues Salary - R350 000 - R400 000pa
