Job Summary The Senior Portfolio Consultant I assumes a critical role in executing investment implementations for complex portfolio transitions and high‑net‑worth clients. The role is deeply involved in the investment process, serving as a point person for newly acquired firms assimilating to our investment platform and models, and supporting organic growth by developing investment deliverables for prospective clients. The position collaborates closely with Wealth Advisors, Operations, Portfolio Management, Compliance, and Trading departments to ensure strategic alignment and deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities Concierge Level Service & Communication Communicate investment philosophy and available strategies clearly. Provide status updates on portfolio implementations proactively and timely. Deliver an excellent experience to Wealth Advisor Teams in developing and implementing strategies. Work independently or within a team on multiple time‑sensitive projects with high accuracy and attention to detail. Lead presentations on investment topics to Wealth Advisor teams. Knowledge of Investment Management Support new Portfolio Consultants with developing core competencies within the investment platform. Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of capital markets and portfolio design & management. Effectively match Advisor implementation goals with available strategies. Expertise in complex investment vehicles, models, and platforms, including public and private markets. Draft, support, and audit Envestnet proposals and related software deliverables for Wealth Management Teams. Understand account configuration options such as cash reserves, rebalancing frequency, and restrictions. Comprehensive knowledge of short‑term and long‑term capital gains tax to help transition portfolios over desired time horizons. Manage Efficient Process & Workflows Strong grasp of overall process & workflow to troubleshoot portfolio inquiries. Collaborate with central teams to coordinate process improvement. Manage standardized workflows and investment processes. Manage portfolio implementations concurrently to meet or exceed service level agreements. Audit implementations to ensure outcomes align with target portfolio objectives. Oversee implementations for high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferred in Business, Economics, Psychology, or Finance). CFP® and/or Series 65 required. CFA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum 4 years of financial industry experience. Working knowledge of Envestnet, Orion, and Morningstar preferred. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including advanced data analytics. Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach. Organized and detail oriented. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Work Schedule The role requires availability during standard business hours Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional early or late hours to meet deadlines. Working Conditions This position may be performed in a professional office environment or from a dedicated home office. Routine sitting and standing for periods of time; no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.; travel up to 10% of the time. Compensation & Benefits Actual base pay within the range of $80,750 – $95,000 USD, based on factors such as location, experience, education, skills, and licenses.
