Key Responsibilities Source, negotiate, and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project requirements and budgets. Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance, pricing, and delivery timelines. Obtain and compare quotations to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials. Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and inventory documentation. Monitor stock levels and assist with demand planning and forecasting. Minimum Requirements Minimum 12 years’ experience as a Buyer within the construction or residential development industry. Matric required. NQF6 advantageous. Experience working with the BuildSmart procurement system. Knowledge of BEE policies and procedures will be advantageous.
