We’re Hiring: Story Producer – Snapchat Discover Shows Caters Media Group is looking for an experienced Story Producer to work exclusively on Snapchat Discover Shows. This role is ideal for someone who already understands the Discover ecosystem and has hands‑on experience sourcing, scripting, and producing stories specifically for Snapchat Discover. You’ll be responsible for developing people‑led, real‑life stories from idea to publication, shaping content that feels native to Snapchat Discover and resonates with Gen Z audiences, particularly women aged 18–28. This is not a filming role. It is a story, script, and editorial role, focused on strong narratives, clear angles, and high‑performing Discover content. What You’ll Be Doing Sourcing, commissioning and developing Snapchat Discover stories, from first contact through to publication Taking editorial ownership of stories, shaping angle, narrative structure, tone, and pacing for Discover Writing scripts, headlines, hooks and captions designed specifically for Snapchat Discover formats Turning raw materials (UGC, contributor footage, interviews, voice notes) into clear, engaging Discover narratives Making editorial decisions to maximise engagement, completion rates and shareability on Discover Editing and refining scripts and copy to ensure clarity, emotional impact and platform‑native language Spotting weak hooks or unclear narratives and improving them Using performance data and audience insight to refine storytelling approaches Collaborating closely with editors, providing clear briefs and working quickly to deliver edits Managing contributors and stakeholders across multiple time zones, including the US, Australia and the UK The Kind of Stories You’ll Be Working On Personal, first‑person experiences designed for relatability and engagement Celebrity or expert‑led Discover content with behind‑the‑scenes access Humorous, surprising or emotionally driven real‑life stories These stories succeed or fail based on story judgement, framing and script quality. Qualifications Has a minimum of one year’s experience producing content specifically for Snapchat Discover Shows Has proven experience sourcing, writing scripts and producing Discover stories Strongly understands Snapchat Discover formats, audience behaviour and best practices Is confident making editorial decisions on tone, taste and audience relevance Thinks in hooks, pacing and narratives designed for Discover Can write clear, engaging, platform‑native scripts and copy Is comfortable managing multiple stories at once in a fast‑paced environment Has a strong understanding of Gen Z audiences, particularly women aged 18–28 Skills & Experience Proven experience in social‑first storytelling and people‑led content Strong editorial judgement and attention to narrative clarity Data‑aware, with a clear understanding of what performs on Snapchat Discover Ability to self‑edit; experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is a bonus To be considered for this role, applicants must provide links to five Snapchat Discover stories that best showcase their work working on/producing, scripting and shaping content for Discover.
