This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the business owner and gain broad exposure across engineering, construction, project management, and commercial activities.Position Overview We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Junior Project Engineer to join our team on a construction site in Vereeniging. The successful candidate will work from the site office and be involved in both construction and engineering activities:50% Construction Exposure Learning and assisting with all aspects related to the construction of industrial plants. 50% Engineering & Project Support Assisting with concept engineering, detail engineering, project coordination, and exposure to commercial and multidisciplinary engineering functions. This role is ideal for a young engineer seeking practical industry experience and broad project exposure within industrial plant environments.Key Responsibilities Construction (50%) Assist with site construction coordination and monitoring. Learn and support industrial plant construction activities. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and sub-consultants. Monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance. Participate in site inspections and progress meetings. Assist with construction planning and reporting. Engineering & Project Support (50%) Support concept and detail engineering activities. Coordinate information between engineering disciplines and sub-consultants. Assist with preparation and review of technical documentation and drawings. Participate in project costing, procurement, and commercial activities. Assist with project scheduling and technical problem-solving. Gain exposure to multidisciplinary industrial plant engineering. Minimum Requirements BEng / BTech / National Diploma in Mechanical, 03 years working experience. Strong interest in industrial plants, construction, and project engineering. Willingness to work on a construction site environment. Good communication and organizational skills. Proactive attitude and willingness to learn across multiple disciplines. Valid drivers license advantageous.
