The Financial Manager will take full responsibility for the finance portfolio of a key insurance entity within the group. The role focuses heavily on technical reporting, IFRS compliance (including IFRS 17), annual financial statements, audit management, and executive-level reporting. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management reports and detailed financial analysis Presentation of financial results to executive stakeholders Preparation of budgets and forecasts Monthly processing and/or review of draft trial balances Review and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations Review of daily payments and detailed analysis of supporting schedules Involvement in ad hoc projects, including IFRS 17 implementation initiatives Preparation of entity tax calculations Preparation of financial statement sections linked to investments (IFRS 17) Full responsibility for the annual audit process, including liaison with external auditors Minimum Requirements (Non‑Negotiable) Qualified CA(SA) Minimum 4–5 years' post‑articles experience Strong post‑audit experience Solid IFRS technical knowledge (including IFRS 17 exposure) Experience preparing annual financial statements Experience managing the audit process Advanced Microsoft Office skills SAGE system experience Advantageous: Insurance industry experience Tax knowledge Competencies: Strong attention to detail Excellent IFRS technical ability Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and within a team Strategic mindset with strong problem‑solving capability High levels of drive, accountability, and professional integrity For more information, contact: Angelique Jardim, Specialist Recruitment Consultant #J-18808-Ljbffr
