Employment Type: Full-TimeWork Model: Remote Role Overview We are seeking a highly capable Strategic Assistant to support a founder and executive whose work centers around high-level thinking, writing, and relationship-building. This role goes far beyond traditional administrative support. The Strategic Assistant acts as a gatekeeper, strategic partner, and operational filter, ensuring the executive’s time and focus remain aligned with the highest-leverage activities. The primary objective of this role is to protect the executive’s focus and priorities while managing communications, commitments, and logistics across both business and personal life. Success in this role requires strong judgment, proactive thinking, and the confidence to challenge priorities or redirect focus when necessary. Key Responsibilities Executive Communication & Priority Management Own full communications triage, including email, Slack, and inbound inquiries. Filter incoming communications so the executive only handles matters requiring their specific judgment. Identify and surface important conversations that require direct executive involvement. Route or manage lower-priority communication and relationship maintenance when appropriate. Calendar & Time Management Manage the executive’s calendar to ensure it reflects strategic priorities rather than external urgency. Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve them before they become issues. Coordinate meetings, commitments, and travel while minimizing unnecessary disruptions. Strategic Support Monitor ongoing initiatives and identify when new ideas may dilute or disrupt existing priorities. Maintain visibility into ongoing work streams and ensure priorities remain aligned. Track open loops across team members, clients, and advisors to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Work closely with internal team members to maintain awareness of what is active, stalled, or completed. Operational Oversight Provide operational support by coordinating with internal team members and ensuring key tasks move forward. Identify potential bottlenecks or gaps and resolve them proactively. Maintain clarity around responsibilities and progress across ongoing initiatives. Executive Accountability Act as a trusted advisor who can push back when priorities drift or attention becomes fragmented. Provide honest feedback and challenge decisions when necessary to protect strategic focus. Help maintain discipline around commitments and priorities. Family & Personal Support Household & Vendor Management Manage relationships with household vendors and service providers, including: Property management or rental agencies. Tradespeople and home maintenance services. Household repair coordination. Ensure home-related issues are resolved without requiring executive involvement. Family Calendar Management Maintain visibility into the family calendar and key personal commitments. Flag potential conflicts between business obligations and important family moments. Coordinate schedules to ensure personal commitments are honored. Planning & Logistics Research and plan larger family-related initiatives such as: Travel. Summer activities. School-related transitions. Present clear recommendations rather than lists of options. Execute plans once decisions are approved. The goal is to ensure the executive can be present with family without needing to manage logistics or react to avoidable issues. Required Qualifications Experience supporting a founder, CEO, or senior executive in a high-trust environment. Strong ability to manage executive communications and complex calendars. Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to track multiple workstreams and maintain visibility across ongoing initiatives. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment. Ideal Candidate Profile Proactive Ownership Anticipates needs and resolves issues before they elevate. Strategic Thinking Understands the executive’s priorities and protects them from distractions. Confidence & Directness Comfortable challenging decisions or redirecting attention when priorities drift. Operational Discipline Able to track and manage multiple ongoing responsibilities with precision. Trust & Discretion Maintains complete confidentiality and professional judgment. The right candidate will take ownership quickly rather than waiting for direction. Success in this role comes from proactively managing priorities and protecting the executive’s focus. The assistant will have both the access and the authority to provide candid feedback, redirect attention when necessary, and ensure commitments remain aligned with strategic goals. Those who succeed in this role are independent thinkers who take initiative rather than waiting for instructions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
