Job Purpose Reporting to the Senior Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations, conducting sample analysis, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring reliable assay results that support critical operational and production decisions.If you have a strong laboratory background and experience with fire assaying and analytical instrumentation, we would like to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing Experience in chemical analysis and laboratory procedures, with a strong focus on quality control and safety. Conduct sample testing, fire-assay, and wet chemical analyses. Operate laboratory equipment including AAS, XRF, ICP, UV-Vis, Fusion and Muffle Furnaces. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning correctly. Manage laboratory inventory, consumables, and supplier inspections. Maintain laboratory cleanliness and safety. Record and analyze data, preparing reports on findings for management. What We're Looking For Essential Requirements Qualification in Metallurgical Assaying, Analytical Chemistry or equivalent. Minimum of two years of industrial work experience working in metallurgical assaying laboratories. Experience of fire assaying techniques a prerequisite. In-depth knowledge of analysis of samples by XRF, AAS, and ICP Knowledge of ISO:17025 QMS implementation.
