Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all areas within Shoprite supermarkets, Checkers stores, Usave outlets, LiquorShop branches, and distribution centres. Qualifications and Skills No formal qualification required for entry‑level roles; Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric) preferred for most contractors. Basic literacy – ability to read cleaning schedules, chemical labels, food hygiene instructions and safety signage. Salary and Benefits Entry‑level store cleaner – ZAR 4,500–6,000 per month. Experienced store cleaner – ZAR 6,000–7,500 per month. Checkers store cleaner (premium format) – ZAR 5,500–8,000 per month. Distribution centre cleaner – ZAR 6,000–9,000 per month.
