Data Analyst - Operations fibertime™ is South Africa’s fastest-growing telco, building affordable, pay-as-you-go internet access for township communities across the country. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We’re looking for a Data Analyst who thrives on connecting the dots — across systems, people, and insights. In the Operations Team, data isn’t just a tool; it’s the backbone of decision‑making, customer trust, and the performance of the entire fibertime™ machine. This role sits at the intersection of Field Ops, Network Ops, Growth and Customer Experience, ensuring that every report, metric, and dashboard tells a truthful story that drives action — not confusion. You’ll bring precision, curiosity, and an obsession for clarity to how we track network health, connected homes, maintenance efficiency, ARCH, redundancy, and uptime, empowering teams from Area Managers to the Board with trusted, actionable insights. WHAT YOU'LL DO (AND LOVE DOING): Build and maintain accurate, real‑time operational dashboards for field performance, network uptime, and customer metrics. Reconcile, validate, and monitor data integrity across internal and external data sources (e.g., Monday.com, IRIS, OES, contractor reporting). Partner with business units (Build, QA & Maintenance, NetOps, CX) to translate data into decisions that improve customer trust and operational efficiency. Drive root‑cause analysis for data anomalies or performance variances — from PON to PoP to customer. Design and manage data governance frameworks to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and accountability. Support executive reporting, forecasting, and scenario planning. Collaborate with the Data & Systems teams to improve automation, sustainability, and reliability of data pipelines. Collaborate but not report to CTO office. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years’ experience in data analysis, preferably in telecommunications, utilities, or operational environments. Advanced skills in Excel/Sheets, SQL, Power BI (or equivalent), and data validation frameworks. Strong understanding of operational workflows, field reporting, and network or customer lifecycle data. Exceptional attention to detail and comfort with ambiguity. Ability to do things differently in a business where different is celebrated.
