This person will serve as the organisation’s PR lead, responsible for managing reputation, driving positive media coverage, and executing strategic communications. The role is central to building trust and visibility for the brand across all channels. Key Responsibilities: Act as the primary spokesperson and media contact for the organisation. Develop and implement earned media and PR strategies to secure coverage in relevant outlets (print, broadcast, online, social). Build and nurture relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders. Monitor media mentions and sentiment, proactively managing brand reputation and responding to issues. Craft compelling press releases, pitches, and media kits aligned with strategic messaging. Lead crisis communications and reputation management efforts, ensuring timely and effective responses. Collaborate with internal teams to identify newsworthy stories, thought leadership opportunities, and executive visibility. Analyse media coverage and campaign effectiveness, providing actionable insights to leadership. Support strategic communications planning, aligning earned media with broader marketing and business goals. Prepare regular reports on media activity, reputation metrics, and strategic impact. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. Proven experience in PR, earned media, or strategic communications. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Ability to manage reputation and respond to media issues under pressure. Strategic thinker with a proactive, collaborative approach.
