Primary Duties And Responsibilities Job Purpose: The Business Development Manager: Branded Vouchers is responsible for driving strategic growth across the branded prepaid voucher portfolio through the identification, development, and commercialisation of high-impact partnerships. This role exists to unlock new sources of value by expanding into new markets, deepening existing partner relationships, and shaping commercially compelling propositions that drive adoption, usage, and revenue growth. Operating as a key growth enabler, the incumbent will proactively identify opportunities, influence partnership strategy, and translate market insights into scalable initiatives that contribute to overall portfolio performance. In doing so, the Business Development Manager will play a critical role in supporting the execution of the Branded Voucher strategy, contributing to sustained growth, market relevance, and long-term value creation. Partner Optimisation & Growth Identify and prioritize consumer and redemption partner needs in product functions and improvements. Build and maintain strong relationships with redemption partners. Drive sales growth through various distribution channels, including direct-to-consumer. Identify and expand into new market segments, both locally and internationally. Market Analysis and Research Monitor market trends, dynamics, and competitor activities to inform and adapt strategies and plans. Analyze redemption partner performance, segmentation, and consumer demand data to guide commercial decisions. Prepare detailed market insight reports for executive and product teams. Business Development and Sales Build a target partner pipeline with clear acquisition goals per quarter. Use market research and competitor benchmarking to prioritise high-value targets. Align acquisition activities with Branded Voucher’s international expansion roadmap. Support BV Executive in negotiations covering margin structures, rebates, exclusivity, and partner-funded contributions. Oversee partner handover to Product & Ops, ensuring integration timelines and SLAs are met for seamless go live. Client Relationship Management Serve as the single point of contact for partners, running structured QBRs. Build trust-based relationships, ensuring partner satisfaction and retention. Resolve escalations quickly, coordinating with Product, Ops, Finance and other internal stakeholders. Strategic Planning and Execution Develop annual business development plans aligned with BV’s objectives. Assess and mitigate risks (regulatory, operational, financial). Monitor execution against plan; adjust tactics to optimise outcomes. Commercial Acumen Track and report commercial performance per partner (FV sales, active redeemers, ARPU, breakage, margin contribution). Conduct profitability analysis for every deal, ensuring alignment with BV’s commercial thresholds. Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to assess ROI of partner-funded campaigns and report on value extracted (incremental FV, redemption lift, brand outcomes). Identify underperforming accounts and recommend corrective actions. Competencies Proven track record in strategic planning & execution In-depth knowledge of the prepaid voucher market Track record in business and client development in these markets Experience in successfully assessing and entering new fintech product markets Understanding of technology platforms, solutions and integrations Strong business and commercial acumen Well-developed leadership skills Strong communication & interpersonal skills Advanced problem‑solving skills. Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree (Postgraduate qualification advantageous). Minimum 5 - 7 years relevant experience, ideally in prepaid or fintech.
