Our client, a well-established player in the logistics and distribution sector, is looking for a detail-driven Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This role offers exposure to a high-volume, operationally focused environment where financial insight directly influences business decisions, cost efficiencies, and profitability.Key Responsibilities: Financial management and reporting on profitability and cost analysis Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Preparation of management accounts and financial reports Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes Perform and review reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and general ledger) Identify cost-saving opportunities and support operational efficiency initiatives Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making Experience: BCom Accounting degree Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles (advantageous) 25 years experience in a similar role Exposure to logistics, supply chain, or distribution environment preferred Skills: Strong financial reporting and analytical capability Solid understanding of accounting standards and internal controls Advanced Excel skills Detail-oriented with strong reconciliation skills Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment Strong business partnering and communication skills Apply now!
