You will focus on the sales and marketing of Sakata Ornamental flower seed range and supporting clients in South Africa. You will play a key part in implementing Sakata’s sales strategy within your region while contributing to the success of the greater Sakata group. What will you do? Manage the sales and marketing of the Sakata Ornamental flower seed product range. Provide technical assistance to clients where possible Promote seasonal products Assess product availability in the field Assist with planning and arrangements of marketing/promotional activities Seasonal trial planning and implementation Evaluation of trials Coordinate product trials against competitive options Development of crop and variety sales strategy Collect and report up-to-date market information/data Assist staff with planting advice Liaison with and support MayFord retail activities Where will you work? You will be based in South Africa, Gauteng at the Lanseria Head Office. Your manager, Paul Vonk, will be based onsite. Do you fit this profile? You have: a diploma or degree in Ornamental Horticulture is preferred experience in ornamental floriculture is advantageous +2 years’ in sales experience strong analytical, planning and communication skills a valid driver’s license You are: willing to work flexible hours willing to travel proactive and attentive able to work under pressure able to work within deadlines, good with personal time management a team player who finds it easy to communicate and collaborate within the team and with other departments Do you want to know more about the company?
