We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Platform / Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role is critical for designing, delivering, and operating enterprise-grade technology platforms with a strong focus on Kubernetes, API management, and secure cloud-native delivery. You will lead the evolution of our API and platform ecosystems, driving initiatives such as Kubernetes platform optimization (EKS), API gateway transformation (Kong Konnect), and integration service consolidation. This position requires a blend of platform engineering, DevOps, and enterprise architecture expertise, with a significant emphasis on enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing platforms. Key Responsibilities Product & Service Direction, Design & Performance Management Define product and technical strategy in collaboration with senior stakeholders. Serve as the primary interface for senior business stakeholders, managing the product-owner relationship. Take full accountability for product and solution delivery, including risk ownership. Design scalable, architecturally sound solutions and create solution blueprints aligned with organizational strategy. Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to guide cost‑effective technology decisions. Drive scoping, prioritization, and integration planning across various engineering teams. Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and infrastructure standards. Monitor and optimize platform and application performance across the enterprise. Operate and optimize production EKS environments for API gateways, AI runtimes, and integrations. Manage and evolve Kong Konnect (control and data planes, plugins, traffic policies). Lead APIOps practices utilizing deck, OpenAPI, Spectral, and GitOps pipelines. Manage and evolve MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, leading its consolidation into Kong. Implement and enhance supply chain security (Trivy, Cosign, SBOMs, OPA/Kyverno). Ensure runtime security and compliance (Falco, CIS benchmarks, audit logging). Own and develop GitOps delivery frameworks (Argo CD / Flux). Mentor and guide senior engineers, enforcing architectural best practices. Delivery Management Lead agile delivery across squads for both Run and Change initiatives. Collaborate with transformation teams for effective resource planning and program delivery. Embed and sustain agile practices, focusing on continuous improvement. Partner with Risk, Security, CTO, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and governance. Required Skills and Qualifications Mandatory Certifications (Active & Verified) Full Kubestronaut Certification: Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) Kubernetes and Cloud Native Security Associate (KCSA) Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) Technical Expertise Expert‑level experience with production Kubernetes/EKS environments. Production experience with Kong Konnect (or Kong Gateway/Enterprise). Production experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (CloudHub, RTF, API Manager, DataWeave). Strong expertise in AWS (EKS, IAM, KMS, VPC). Proficiency in APIOps tooling (deck, OpenAPI, Spectral, GitOps pipelines). Solid understanding and experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Good working knowledge of GitOps (Argo CD / Flux). Familiarity with Container Security tools (Trivy, Cosign, Falco, OPA/Kyverno). Experience with Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, Splunk, New Relic). Experience Minimum 4+ years of hands‑on experience with production Kubernetes environments at scale. 3+ years of proven experience in regulated industries (banking, insurance, or healthcare). Strong background in full‑stack platform engineering, DevOps, and API management. Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise platform design and delivery. Preferred Qualifications AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional certification. Kong and/or MuleSoft specific certifications. Experience with AI/LLM workloads (e.g., AWS Bedrock, RAG, vector databases, agent runtimes, MCP). Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Cilium).
