Relevant Experience Experience in a sales environment will be advantageous. Minimum Qualification Grade 12 Certificate with a Valid Drivers’ License. Diploma in Sales or similar qualification would be advantageous. Behavioural Skills Team player. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a team environment. Self‑starter, motivated, opportunistic, creative, proactive, self‑sufficient and can act independently when needed. Persistent and ambitious. Must be prepared to travel extensively. Ability to find and win over new customers/business. Technical Skills Computer literate (MS Office). Knowledge of steel and steel products. Microsoft AX Dynamics would be advantageous. Primary Function of the Position To holistically manage the business in the designated markets with regards to Trading. To have a holistic awareness of the progress of every deal and to disseminate relevant information to appropriate people. Key Performance Areas Handling all enquiries, quoting and follow‑ups. Building long‑term relationships with key Customers. Developing knowledge of core products, pricing, suppliers & rebate structures. Managing specific selected accounts. Awareness of the status of each order (from A – Z) and keeping Customers updated on a regular basis right through to despatch. Providing weekly GP reports. Maintaining best practice with regards to stock control. Taking full responsibility for unallocated stock associated with specific deals. Completing weekly unallocated stock reports.
