Our automotive component manufacturing and refurbishment client is in search of a qualified Automotive Machinist (Trainer). The Automotive Machinist contract trainer will train for about 3 – 4 months after every 7 months, as part of a 3-year apprenticeship programme. Main requirements: Experience in training apprentices Job Requirements: The ideal applicant will possess the following: Automotive Machinist Trade Test Certificate – tested by an accredited institution Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Automotive Machinist Perform various machinist activities in the automotive section of the factory Re-bore, line-bore, crankshaft grinding, reconditioning of cylinder heads and connecting rods Participate in the implementation of the Production Management System (ISO 9001) Complete all job-related admin, such as control sheets, job cards, stores requisitions, quality control sheets, etc. Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: Good knowledge of tools and safety standards, including the OHS Act Knowledge of ISO 9001 and industrial workshop environments Good communication and interpersonal skills Time management skills Diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to work on horizontal boring mills, lathes, and milling machines Willing to work after hours if required Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks Reliable, honest, proactive, with good work ethics Interested candidates should email their CVs to . #J-18808-Ljbffr
