Overview Machine Operator: Welding at our Durban branch. Role Summary Welding, fabrication, cutting, measuring and maintenance of PERI steel components. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures and understand the final product. Determine appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements. Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws or structural imperfections. Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety. Make clean lines and cuts when welding, paying attention to the job at hand. Keep tools and equipment in good repair and be responsible. Carry out PERI company health & safety procedures at all times. Read plans, instructions, or specifications to determine work activities. Work closely with other teams, supervisors, and managers to ensure consistent, efficient, and effective practices. Perform other manual duties as directed, willing to work with other departments and carry out different duties as required. Experience Welding certificate. Previous welding experience important. MIG welding experience. Boilermaker experience will be an advantage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
