A Salesforce Technical Architect is responsible for defining and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing technical solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem. The role involves leading technical strategy, solution design, and integration architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, Salesforce best practices, and enterprise IT standards. The architect will mentor development teams, oversee complex Salesforce implementations, and drive architectural excellence across multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience). 2. Key Responsibilities Design end-to-end Salesforce technical solutions covering multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, Experience). Define architecture principles, data models, and integration patterns. Ensure solutions meet requirements for scalability, security, performance, and maintainability. Evaluate Salesforce features, platform limits, and recommend architecture improvements. Lead integration strategy between Salesforce and ERP, middleware, legacy systems, or external applications. Implement API-based, event-driven, and batch integrations using tools like MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Ensure data consistency, error handling, and compliance across systems. Development Oversight Review and approve technical designs, solution documents, and code to ensure alignment with architectural standards. Guide development teams on Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and declarative configurations. Mentor developers and provide technical guidance on complex Salesforce customizations. Governance & Best Practices Define Salesforce technical standards, coding best practices, and deployment processes. Conduct technical risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Technical Leadership Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and project managers to define delivery roadmaps. Evaluate emerging Salesforce technologies and provide recommendations for adoption. Lead technical workshops, design sessions, and architecture reviews. 3. Required Technical Skills Deep knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud Expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce Declarative Salesforce tools: Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Reports & Dashboards Salesforce data architecture and large data volume management Integration & Middleware REST and SOAP API design and implementation Event-driven architecture and real-time integrations Experience with MuleSoft Any point Platform or other integration middleware DevOps & Tools Salesforce DX and CI/CD pipelines Git or other version control systems Automated testing frameworks and deployment tools 4. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 7–10+ years of Salesforce experience including development and architecture. 4–6+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce architect or technical lead. 5. Preferred Certifications Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) 6.
