ABOUT THIS ROLE Are you an experienced property operations professional with strong facilities management, maintenance coordination, and tenant relationship experience? A well-established property business is looking to appoint a hands‑on and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of a busy property environment in Cape Town. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced operational environments, enjoys problem‑solving, and has a strong understanding of property maintenance, contractor management, compliance, and tenant service delivery. WHAT YOU WILL DO Conduct regular property inspections to ensure maintenance and operational standards are met Oversee preventative maintenance for HVAC systems, generators, fire systems, lighting, pumps, and related infrastructure Coordinate servicing and repairs for property equipment and facilities Monitor generator performance, diesel usage, and utility-related processes Assist with tenant move‑ins, move‑outs, and fit‑out coordination Manage contractors and third‑party service providers including cleaning, security, pest control, landscaping, and access control Respond to tenant queries, complaints, and operational requests professionally and efficiently Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and operational documentation Assist with health & safety compliance and ensure adherence to OHS standards and building regulations Support emergency response and crisis management processes when required Assist with maintenance budgeting and operational cost control Perform general operational and ad‑hoc property management duties as required WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum 3 years’ experience within property operations, facilities, or building management Strong understanding of property maintenance, infrastructure, and preventative maintenance processes Sound knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety standards and property regulations Excellent contractor, vendor, and stakeholder management skills Strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Hands‑on, proactive, and solutions‑driven approach Ability to work independently and respond effectively under pressure Strong administrative and reporting skills Property or facilities‑related qualification advantageous If you are a driven operations professional looking for an exciting opportunity within a dynamic property environment, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
