The internship programme will be split across its businesses: takealot.com, TFS, and Mr D. Purpose of role To provide comprehensive administrative, secretarial and operational support to the in‑house legal department, ensuring efficient management of legal documents, correspondence and departmental operations. Personal Competencies High level of integrity and discretion Ability to handle confidential information appropriately Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills Proactive and self‑motivated Positive attitude and growth mindset Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong problem‑solving skills Flexibility and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment Team player with a collaborative approach Key Responsibilities General Administration Process invoices and ensure precise maintenance of financial records Draft basic legal documents, including NDAs Establish and maintain comprehensive, organised filing and documentation systems Manage and facilitate email correspondence between internal and external stakeholders Deliver general administrative support to the public policy team Driver Lifecycle Management Manage and track drivers across the entirety of the programme lifecycle Coordinate with drivers and service providers during the vetting process Maintain consistent communication with drivers to facilitate smooth progress Training & Licensing Coordination Provide logistical support and assistance to learners for training enrollment Monitor learner progress and completion rates by liaising directly with driving schools Identify and track training milestones, proactively addressing potential delays or issues Coordinate the scheduling of training sessions across various Takealot hubs Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with recruitment and onboarding teams to coordinate onboarding for drivers Facilitate agreements with bike suppliers and drivers Facilitate communication between learners and internal teams Provide regular updates on driver progression to relevant stakeholders Operational Support Assist drivers with bike acquisition processes and requirements Support drivers through final onboarding steps until they become active on the platform Maintain accurate records of driver progression and status updates Process Improvement Monitor the training model timeline and identify opportunities for optimisation Track and report on KPIs related to driver conversion rates per area Provide insights and recommendations to improve the overall driver journey Reporting Structure Direct Report To: Driver Programmes Coordinator Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Recruitment: The number of candidates contacted to fill open positions within the program Conversion: Program completion and Takealot onboarding conversion rates (with area‑specific targets) Process Optimisation: Identify challenges and bottlenecks to create processes or solutions for overcoming them Administration: Accurate and timely task completion, data collection, and reporting Skills & Competencies Communication Skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders via email, phone, and in‑person Professional email etiquette and documentation skills Organisational Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously Experience with basic project tracking and reporting Technical Skills Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gmail) Basic understanding of document management systems Willingness to learn new software and platforms Personal Attributes Self‑motivated with strong initiative Problem‑solving mindset and analytical thinking Adaptability and flexibility in a fast‑paced environment Team player with a collaborative approach What We Offer Competitive entry‑level salary Training and development opportunities Career growth potential within driver development programmes and operations Collaborative and supportive work environment Opportunity to make a direct impact on driver success and business outcomes This is a contract position.
