Internal Sales (Industrial Automation) Our client, an established industrial automation business based in Montague Gardens, is seeking a driven Internal Sales professional who enjoys combining technical understanding with strong customer relationships. This role suits someone who takes ownership, learns fast, and delivers consistent, high‑quality service. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for customers, providing prompt, professional, and accurate technical and product advice. Build, manage, and grow strong customer relationships, taking full ownership of assigned accounts. Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details, specifications, and logistics requirements are correct. Identify and pursue opportunities to up‑sell and cross‑sell products and services that add value to customers. Proactively follow up on quotations, orders, enquiries, and outstanding actions to ensure reliable delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain consistent and structured sales processes, recording all activities and interactions on the CRM system. Support outbound and internal sales activities to generate and develop new business opportunities. Develop strong product and application knowledge across automation, sensing, control, pneumatics, and drive systems. Act as a reliable liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve queries or issues efficiently. Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all communications, order administration, and sales documentation. Contribute positively to the wider sales team by supporting colleagues and delivering on shared commitments. Represent the brand with professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all customer interactions. Uphold company values by working with drive, responsiveness, and a focus on delivering measurable results. Requirements Relevant degree or diploma in a technical field – electrical engineering, mechatronics, etc. Practical experience with automation equipment. Experience in a Sales position. Fluent in both English and Afrikaans. Strong and confident communicator, with a natural outgoing personality. A natural interest in sales, with a genuine enjoyment of building relationships and tackling challenges. Demonstrated persistence, discipline, and strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow through and close opportunities. Comfortable working in a varied environment, engaging with different industries, customers, and problem‑solving scenarios. A strong willingness to learn, with enthusiasm for developing products, solutions, and application knowledge. A customer‑focused mindset, with genuine satisfaction gained from adding value through problem‑solving and excellent service.
