Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements:Matric with Mathematics is essential. Relevant technical experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Experience with plastic processing equipment, including blow moulding and injection moulding machines, will be advantageous. Technical training or short courses will be an added advantage. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain high housekeeping and hygiene standards in the machine area at all times. Conduct machine setup at the beginning of each production run and during start-up. Support the preparation and updating of machine setting sheets and record changes in the machine incident logbook. Submit first-off samples for quality approval before production begins. Adjust machine settings when samples are rejected or when non-conformances are identified during production. Monitor allocated machines to ensure ongoing compliance with product specifications. Ensure line clearance is completed before starting a new run and that approved first-off samples are available. Diagnosing machine faults and support repairs and maintenance activities. Report machine problems and safety or health concerns to management without delay. Comply with safety, health and environmental standards and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
