Senior Technician / Supervisor job vacancy in Secunda. The Senior Technician / Supervisor is responsible for supervising technicians and installation teams within a power plant or industrial C&I environment. The role focuses on ensuring the correct execution of installation activities, maintaining workmanship quality, supporting commissioning processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and technical standards. Salary: R19 000 – R22 000 per month. Key Responsibilities: Technical Supervision and Installation Supervise technicians, artisans, and assistants on site Allocate daily tasks and coordinate installation activities Ensure cable routing, glanding, and terminations are completed according to approved drawings Conduct inspections on instrumentation installations and workmanship quality Testing and Commissioning Support Verify loop checks, continuity tests, and inspection results Assist with calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities Identify and resolve technical installation issues effectively Site Coordination and Compliance Coordinate daily work execution with the Site Manager Ensure tools, test equipment, and materials are correctly used and maintained Monitor compliance with safety standards, housekeeping, and quality procedures Record completed work and provide regular progress updates Role Requirements: National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Process Instrumentation, or equivalent qualification Minimum 3 years’ experience within a power plant or industrial C&I environment Ability to interpret loop drawings and schematics Knowledge of DCS systems and industrial communication protocols Experience with field instrumentation, cable glanding, and cable terminationStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills Team supervision and leadership abilities Required Documentation: Certified qualification certificates Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) Trade or competency certificates where applicable Reference letters or project experience records Training certificates relevant to industrial C&I systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
