Minimum Requirements BCom Accounting / Finance or equivalent (NQF Level 7 minimum) CA(SA) / SAIPA / CIMA or equivalent qualification (preferred) Minimum 10+ years experience in senior financial/accounting roles Strong experience in project accounting / project finance / contract accounting Solid understanding of IFRS and South African tax legislation Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modelling, reconciliations, reporting) Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Sage / Pastel / Xero or similar) Strong audit exposure and experience liaising with external auditors Key Responsibilities Full Finance Function Oversee end-to-end finance operations including reporting, controls, and compliance Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Maintain general ledger integrity and manage month-end close processes Project / Contract Financial Management Manage financial oversight across multiple projects or contracts Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost tracking Analyse variances and provide insights into project performance Support billing, invoicing, and revenue recognition processes Budgeting & Forecasting Lead annual budgeting and forecasting cycles Develop financial models and cash flow forecasts Support strategic financial planning and decision-making processes Reporting & Analysis Prepare management accounts and board-level financial reports Provide detailed variance analysis and financial insights Support senior leadership with data-driven financial recommendations Audit & Compliance Coordinate internal and external audit processes Ensure compliance with IFRS and all relevant tax legislation Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong ethical standards and financial integrity Self-driven with strong ownership and accountability
