Job Description FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (SAIPA) - R70k pm - NORTHERN SUBURBS, CPT Our client, a Leader in the FMCG sector has an opportunity for a strong SAIPA Accountant with FMCG experience. Responsibilities Produce monthly management accounts, variance commentary, and reporting packs for the Head of Finance. Complete month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and provisioning. Reconcile VAT and other statutory accounts ahead of SARS submissions. Keep the fixed asset register current and accurate. Run monthly stock counts, investigate variances with warehouse and production teams, and produce inventory reconciliation reports. Review sales, margin trends, trade terms and the profitability of promotional activity. Strengthen and maintain internal controls across financial and operational processes. Ensure compliance with South African statutory requirements, including CIPC, SARS (VAT, income tax, excise) and the Companies Act. Support during audits and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisers. Lead finance projects such as ERP upgrades, process automation and cost-saving initiatives. Assist with the annual budgeting process and longer term financial planning. Line‑manage, train and mentor finance staff, including bookkeepers and clerks. Oversee the team's delivery to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance. Ensure effective cross‑team collaboration with operations, warehouse and production on finance‑related matters. Requirements Professional Accountant PA(SA) 3+ years post SAIPA articles Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
