Position Overview As a Systems Administrator with the MRI Software IT Operations Team, you will have the opportunity to work across private and public cloud technologies, learning business processes while being exposed to exciting new technologies such as VMWare vCenter, Azure, AWS, F5 Load Balancers, Cisco hardware, Palo Alto firewalls, and many more networking and operational tools. In this position, you will assist with a wide range of IT operational duties such as Microsoft Active Directory management, VMware virtual machine deployment and configuration, anti‑virus and security vulnerability activities, deploying virtual web servers, creating and maintaining DNS records, and be fully immersed in day‑to‑day operational IT services activities. Responsibilities Manages related Service Desk Tool queues and tickets Resolve or escalate incidents, problems and service requests, maintaining relevant records promptly and efficiently within SLA Deployment and configuration of VMware virtual machines in vCenter and Azure workloads Installation and management of IT security tools Build new systems and deploy application software Install new software releases and system upgrades Review and management of SOPs and documentation Configuration and deployment of monitoring tools Active Directory management and troubleshooting VPN configuration and troubleshooting General vCenter management and troubleshooting Certificate management Azure and/or AWS administration Partner with Engineering, Development and Professional Services teams to ensure successful implementation of new technologies and assure SOPs are accurately recorded and updated Requirements Knowledge of Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, storage and backup devices, VMWare, Citrix and other solutions as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities. Strong ability to follow, draft and update SOPs Proficiency in server, storage and virtualization standards, techniques and tools. Analytical/problem‑solving skills. Clear and concise verbal and written communication to all levels of the organization. Effectively organize and prioritize work. Simultaneously manage and deliver multiple projects. Effectively collaborate with peers, cross‑functional teams, team leaders and engineering to achieve end‑to‑end product and process quality. Effectively influence others to ensure levels of quality and timeliness are met during the service improvement and delivery process. Ability to be available for possible after‑hours and standby if required. Ability to work North American or United Kingdom hours if required. General vCenter management and troubleshooting. Implement, manage, and monitor Azure and/or AWS cloud infrastructure, focusing on computing, storage, networking, and security services. Education VMWare Certified or working towards. Azure and/or AWS Certified or working towards. ITIL v3 or v4 – nice to have. Security certification – a plus. Benefits Office breakfasts, quarterly lunches and virtual social events.
