Please note that this appointment is a part-time, fixed-term contract valid until 30 June 2026. This position does not constitute a full-time appointment. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Lecture and assess contact learning in the BEd (Foundation Phase Teaching) programme in the following modules: Mathematics for Foundation Phase 1 Mathematics for Foundation Phase 2 Use a learning management system independently and/or work collaboratively to develop and deliver modules. Participate in relevant programme, curriculum and material development. Provide academic support to students. Complete all Quality Assurance requirements related to the modules and programmes. Ensure prompt and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and other members of management. Ensure administrative efficiency, effectiveness and compliance with all policies and SOPs. Participate in and attend meetings and workshops. Fulfil all reasonably expected administrative functions relating to the position and as requested by the relevant line manager. Qualifications and Experience | Minimum Requirements: Minimum Bachelor of Education Honours degree (or equivalent postgraduate qualification) with relevant study in Foundation Phase Education, Early Childhood Development, Mathematics Education, or a related field. At least 3 years’ teaching and/or lecturing experience in Foundation Phase Mathematics, Early Childhood Development mathematics, or Mathematics Education, with demonstrated experience in teaching the pedagogy of mathematics. Experience in higher education teaching and/or module coordination will be an advantage Experience in curriculum and materials development. Experience in online and blended teaching and learning environments. Key Attributes: Sound teaching and assessment skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and coordination skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. High level of computer proficiency with good knowledge of modern Information Technology infrastructure and online learning platforms.
