About the Job Job title: Finance ManagerIndustry: Clearing & Forwarding (International Logistics)Reports to: Finance Director (FD)Location: Head Office - JohannesburgEmployment type: Permanent Key Accountabilities Manage month‑end close, management accounts and balance sheet integrity. Oversee accounts payable, supplier reconciliations and payment controls for carriers, agents and service providers. Oversee daily cashbook processing, bank reconciliations and short‑term cash forecasting. Ensure compliance with tax, VAT and payroll‑related obligations and support external audit requirements. Maintain strong internal controls, segregation of duties, system access governance and adherence to delegations of authority. Lead and develop the finance team and ensure continuity/cover for key processes. About You Minimum qualifications: BCom Accounting/Finance or equivalent; articles or additional professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA). 5–8 years’ experience as a CA or Finance Manager in a similar role with at least 2–3 years in a management/supervisory role. Experience in freight forwarding/logistics or a service business with multi‑currency transactions. Working knowledge of VAT/tax and payroll processes. Strong Excel and finance system capability; exposure to forwarding ERP/TMS systems advantageous. High attention to detail and strong reconciliation discipline. Control‑minded with sound judgement and integrity. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines. Clear communication and ability to translate numbers into operational actions.
