Employer Description This is a manufacturer of mining machinery components Job Description Your responsibilities will be the following: Inspect and evaluate welded structures, components and assemblies in accordance with relevant codes and standards (e.g. AWS, ASME, ISO). Review and interpret drawings, welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and specifications. Ensure compliance with quality requirements throughout the welding process. Perform visual, dimensional and non-destructive testing (VT, MT, PT, UT, RT as required). Monitor and verify welder qualifications, welding consumables and equipment. Document and report inspection results accurately and timeously. Identify and record deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Liaise with production, engineering and clients to ensure quality and compliance. Maintain inspection records and traceability in line with quality system requirements. Qualifications Matric CSWIP 3.1, / 3.2 OR (SAIW Level 2 qualification) Skills Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role within a precision engineering company Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Practical Knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SAW Practical Experience in NDT Methods (VT, MT, PT, UT, RT) Strong Knowledge of Welding Codes (ASW 1.1, ASME Section IX, ISO 3834) Benefits Provident Fund Overtime
