THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE ARE: NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS: A valid CA(SA) qualification with a minimum of 3 years’ post-articles experience in a senior finance role, supported by proven experience in leading and managing finance teams. Strong operational finance and accounting background, with advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP or accounting systems. Proven experience across Creditors Management, Banking and Cash Management, Fixed Assets Management, VAT and Statutory Compliance, Financial Control and Reporting, as well as Process Improvement initiatives. HIGHLY BENEFICIAL IF YOU ALSO HAVE: Exposure to high-volume transactional environments. Experience or Exposure to ISA (Instalment Sale Agreements Management. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Debtors Management Overseeing the full accounts receivable function. Ensuring accurate billing, collections, and debtor reconciliations. Monitoring ageing analysis and driving cash collection performance. Creditors Management Managing the end-to-end accounts payable process. Ensuring supplier invoices are accurately processed and approved. Reviewing and approving supplier reconciliations and payment runs. Maintaining strong working capital management discipline. Resolving supplier disputes and queries. Enforcing procurement and payment controls. Managing and accounting for all lease obligations in accordance with applicable accounting standards, ensuring lease liabilities are accurately recorded, monitored, and reported in the statement of financial position. Overseeing the recognition, measurement, and reconciliation of leased vehicle liabilities, including finance leases and operating leases where applicable. Maintaining accurate schedules for lease repayments, interest allocations, and related liability movements. Monitoring and reporting on all debt and liability obligations relating to leased assets, in addition to instalment sale agreements (ISA). Liaising with finance providers and internal stakeholders regarding lease agreements, settlements, refinancing, and covenant compliance where applicable. Banking & Cash Management Supervising daily bank reconciliations. Ensuring completeness and accuracy of cashbook processing. Monitoring cash flow movements and funding requirements. Reviewing bank control accounts and investigating variances. Fixed Assets Management Maintaining the integrity of the fixed asset register. Overseeing capitalisation, disposals, transfers, and depreciation. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Supporting fleet/asset lifecycle tracking where applicable. Performing periodic asset verification and reconciliations. Managing and overseeing all Instalment Sale Agreements (ISA) relating to vehicle acquisitions and financed assets. Maintaining accurate records of: Capital balances Interest components Repayment schedules Settlement values Financier agreements Reconciling ISA accounts monthly against financial statements. Ensuring accurate allocation between: Capital repayments Interest expense Fees and charges Monitoring financed vehicle assets against underlying agreements. Ensuring compliance with financing terms and covenant requirements. Processing and reviewing: New finance agreements Early settlements Vehicle disposals linked to financed assets Coordinating settlement letters and release documentation with financial institutions. Ensuring correct accounting treatment in line with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs. Assisting with cash flow planning relating to financing obligations. Preparing ISA schedules and reconciliations for: Audits Management reporting Financial statement disclosures Liaising with banks, financiers, auditors, and internal operational departments regarding financed assets and repayment structures. VAT & Statutory Compliance Preparing and reviewing VAT calculations and submissions. Ensuring compliance with SARS requirements. Managing VAT reconciliations and audit support. Monitoring legislative compliance risks. Liaising with tax advisors and auditors where required. Ensuring accurate month-end close processes. Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations. Maintaining a strong financial controls environment. Preparing management accounts. Assisting with audit preparation and audit queries. Driving process standardisation and documentation. Loan Accounts & Financing Managing all loan accounts within the Group. Managing and developing finance operational teams. Allocating work and monitoring productivity. Implementing performance management practices. Building capability and technical accounting competence. Promoting accountability, accuracy, and a strong service delivery culture.
