Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Coordinator to support multi‑center, Defense‑funded randomized clinical trials focused on spine surgery outcomes. The Coordinator will enroll and monitor study participants, manage protocol compliance, and collaborate closely with investigators, surgeons, and rehabilitation staff. Responsibilities Manage and update study protocols to maintain compliance. Lead Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes, including initial submissions, amendments, and continuing reviews. Oversee patient recruitment, enrollment and follow‑up. Facilitate ongoing collaboration with Principal Investigator (PI), spine surgeons, and rehabilitation providers to uphold protocol integrity. Organize and lead weekly meetings with the PI, co‑investigators and study staff to review and report on study progress. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of study procedures and communication with investigators and federal sponsors. Maintain IRB documentation and ensure research is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and sponsor guidelines. Recruit appropriate individuals for study participation according to study protocol via medical chart review and patient screening or interviewing. Enroll eligible study participants. Complete assessment procedures with study participants in clinic or remotely. Schedule participants for initial and/or follow‑up appointments. Conduct follow‑up calls, emails or mailings related to study activities. Communicate regularly and effectively with investigators and other members of the research team on an ongoing basis related to study protocol. Maintain study database and prepare data reports. Attend weekly research team meetings. Contribute to a positive work environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of 2 years clinical research experience. Location and Hours The role is based at Vanderbilt Medical Center East, South Tower and 2525 West End Ave, Nashville, TN. Standard business hours Monday – Friday with traditional daytime schedule.
