About the job Accounts/Bookkeeper - Brackenfell CTP Were currently recruiting for 2x Accountants/Bookkeepers to join a UK-based Accountancy firm located in Brackenfell, Cape Town . This position offers a competitive salary of R25,000 to R35,000 per month , and were seeking candidates with strong accounting experience in a practice setting. The role requires proficiency in Xero and fluency in Afrikaans , with minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting firm . Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns. Monitor and manage company budgets and forecasts. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits. Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures. Provide financial advice and support to other departments. Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations. Prepare accounts using Xero . Key Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience working for an accounting firm . Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Xero . Must live in the Northern Suburbs (no remote work available). Must have your own car . Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. 5+ years experience in accounting or finance roles, with 3+ years in an accounting practice. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems, especially Xero . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
