Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric Minimum 5 years experience in a handyman or similar maintenance role Trade certification (electrical, plumbing, etc.) will be advantageous Valid drivers license preferred Experience as a safety representative advantageous Skilled in carpentry, plumbing, painting, and basic electrical maintenance Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively Physically fit and able to perform manual work Good communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail Professional and respectful approach when working with elderly residents Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance Perform general repairs including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor electrical work Repair fixtures, doors, windows, furniture, and appliances Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies Assemble furniture and install fittings and fixtures Maintain cleanliness of work areas, units, and outdoor spaces Keep accurate maintenance records and report major issues to the supervisor Perform general ad hoc maintenance duties as required ***ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED***
