Product Support (Technical Sales) - Forklifts Pretoria, South Africa | Posted on 03/25/2026 Our client is seeking an experienced Product Support (Technical Sales), to join the Pretoria team, Identify, approach,and secure new customers in the forklift and material handling industry (Allmajor brands). Develop and managea strong sales pipeline through site visits, cold calls, referrals, andindustry networking. Persuasivelypresent the companies superior service offering to win customers from existingsuppliers. Secure both urgentbreakdown work and larger workshop jobs (overhauls, rebuilds, major repairs) Spend at least 4days a week on the road, actively visiting customers and prospects (Producemeasurable reports). Build lastingrelationships through regular, planned visits - always being visible,accessible, and trusted. Act as the firstpoint of contact for technical queries and urgent support. Work closely withthe Branch Manager, Workshops and Branch administrators to align capacity withincoming work. Use strongmechanical and electrical knowledge to understand customer issues and developpractical solutions. Obtain parts quotesfrom multiple suppliers, always balancing quality with cost- effectiveness. Make informedrecommendations to keep customer repair costs competitive without compromisingreliability. Use the IFS systemto generate accurate, timely quotes. Understanding FlatRates and guidelines. Coordinate closelywith Rental and External Admin to ensure smooth job opening, processing, andinvoicing. Assist at month-endwith job closures and outstanding paperwork to meet financial cut-offs. Always maintain adetailed customer visit plan 2 weeks in advance. Keep full recordsof prospects, visits, quotes, and customer decisions. Report regularly onpipeline progress, competitor activity, market trends, and pricing insights.
