Job Title: Wealth Manager Segment: High-Net-Worth (HNW), Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) & Family Offices Location: South Africa Employment Type: Permanent / Full-Time Role Description The Wealth Investment Manager (VP) is a senior, client-facing role focused on the strategic acquisition and long-term retention of Assets Under Management (AUM) . Operating within a sophisticated open-architecture environment, the successful candidate will provide holistic, global wealth and investment advice tailored to the unique needs of HNW, UHNW, and Family Office clients . The incumbent must demonstrate exceptional strategic thought leadership and possess a thorough, nuance-driven grasp of current financial trends across both local and international markets . Key Responsibilities AUM Generation & Retention: Proactively identify, prospect, and secure new HNW/UHNW asset pipelines while protecting and growing the existing portfolios Holistic Global Advisory: Provide top-tier, bespoke investment advice, encompassing multi-asset-class portfolios, offshore structures, and estate/succession planning . Market Evaluation: Conduct continuous quantitative analysis and investment evaluations to interpret global economic trends into actionable client strategies . Stakeholder Management: Network extensively at executive and ultra-high-net-worth levels, projecting absolute professional credibility . Governance & Practice Management: Ensure all client interactions, portfolio constructions, and advice frameworks strictly adhere to internal risk appetites and external statutory laws . Minimum Role Requirements & "Must-Haves" Education & Qualifications NQF Level 8: Postgraduate degree or Honors qualification in a related field (e.g., Investments, Finance, Law, Accounting/Tax, Economics, or Business Administration) . A Master's degree is highly advantageous Certified Financial Planner (CFP®): Valid and active professional designation . Experience & Track Record Investment Management Experience: 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience directly within a private wealth, asset management, or private banking environment . Proven Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in capital gathering, business development, and client onboarding within the affluent market . Regulatory, Technical & Compliance Status FAIS Fit & Proper: Fully compliant under all designated FAIS Sub-categories for wealth advisory . Regulatory Exams: Valid RE5 Representative Certificate . Supervision Status: The candidate must not be operating under supervision for any critical advisory sub-categories . Skills: Advanced numerical reasoning, complex analytical investment evaluation, and exceptional written/verbal communication skills across all corporate levels . Digital Literacy: High level of systems knowledge and digital savviness .
