Senior Business Analyst - Risk (Enablement space) Job Overview Responsible for eliciting and validating business requirements with stakeholders and translating them into requirement packages for applications that support risk and credit processes. Requires an in-depth understanding of risk and credit systems, information requirements, workflows, and functional specifications. Key Responsibilities Define, build, develop, and maintain business processes for Risk and Credit to identify and understand business workings. Determine the impact of proposed changes on business and IT systems. Perform impact assessments on new requirements and their effect on upstream and downstream systems. Ensure full end‑to‑end processes and dependencies are assessed during analysis. Analyze gaps between current and future states to determine required changes. Identify processes that need re‑design or improvement and secure stakeholder buy‑in. Document end‑to‑end process flows, including activities, inputs, outputs, resources, and performance measures. Propose re‑engineering or optimization of processes and business solutions. Interpret functional and technical system specifications to identify business solutions, opportunities, and limitations. Apply Business Architecture guidelines to ensure consistent, high‑quality requirements and specifications. Assist Technical Designers in translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements. Identify operational problems and propose solutions proactively. Interface with other Business Analysts and Project Managers. Collaborate with technical architects to define the systems landscape. Challenge business demands and identify duplications or redundant needs. Participate in the conceptualization, design, and planning of projects for product houses, business units, or segments. Contribute to budget development aligned with operational delivery plans, monitor effectiveness, and report variances. Develop and nurture collaborative relationships within the organization and across the broader group. Assess own performance, seek feedback, request training, and continuously improve delivery practices. Provide subject‑matter expertise and thought leadership in the area of expertise. Ensure compliance with legislative and audit requirements and adherence to relevant processes. Qualifications Relevant degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience in credit or risk analysis. Experience with solution viability assessment and business‑case development. Solid knowledge of data analysis, interpretation, and financial data within banking systems. Expertise with Excel and Access, as well as report development and interpretation. Proficient with design‑process tools such as Visio or Firstmap. Ability to document and implement complex, multi‑project initiatives aligned with business strategy. Experience in the financial industry, or knowledge of data systems and automation, is beneficial.
