Job Details Location: South Africa. Type: Hourly paid employee. What You’ll Do You will review reported content which includes comments, chats, strong graphic images, videos, and audio files. Using moderation guidelines, you will determine whether user‑generated content breaks the community policies or not. You may also need to elevate harmful content to ensure continued protection of users and the brand. This role involves regular exposure to user‑reported content, which can include graphic imagery and offensive language. This work is KPI driven and you will be asked to hit quality and quantity targets. It is important to moderate in accordance with Social Element and client‑specific guidelines, review content across multiple formats, keep up to date with changes in the guidelines or our systems, carry out moderation and training according to the scheduled project times, remain resilient when reviewing content that may be unexpected, highly sensitive, intense or challenging, and provide escalation and feedback to supervisors or the project management team as needed. Moderate in accordance with Social Element and client‑specific guidelines Review content across multiple formats, including voice chat audio, videos, comments, etc. Keep up to date with notifications of any new changes in the guidelines or our systems Carry out moderation and training according to the times scheduled in the project schedule Be resilient when reviewing content that may be unexpected, highly sensitive, intense or challenging Escalate user‑generated content that falls within the official escalation processes (e.g. child safety, bomb threats) Inform supervisors and/or project management team of any technical or other issues with tools or content and provide feedback on any client issues Working Hours We are growing our existing talent pool for moderation work so we are looking for you to be flexible across weekdays and weekends to cover all possible project hours. For this language, we are looking for availability Monday to Friday 12AM—10AM (UK times) and we offer approximately 30 hours per week. When a project becomes available, we will tell you the expected shift pattern to confirm your availability. Requirements Language Skills: excellent French and English level, outstanding reading and listening skills. Can work accurately under time pressure within SLA‑driven workflows. Background experience: either in moderation, community management or as a gamer enthusiast familiar with the world of gaming, forums and platforms. Social Media knowledge: great understanding and knowledge in navigating different social platforms (TikTok, Twitch, Discord, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) to keep up to date with the latest gaming trends, events, followers, etc. Digital native: comfortable with using a variety of technologies, apps, online and cloud platforms. Self‑disciplined: you know how to manage your own time while working remotely (priorities, tasks, shifts, training, etc.). IT Policy We operate a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Policy which means to carry out this work, your PC will need to meet the following requirements: Operating system Windows 10 64‑bits or higher / macOS version 13 (Ventura) or higher. i5 8th generation or faster 64‑bit (x64) processor. At least 8GB RAM (16GB recommended). Internet speed is 20 Mbps download / 1 Mbps upload (50 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload recommended). 40 GB available HDD (SSD recommended). A webcam and headset. Android or iOS device for 2FA. Chromebook, Linux and cloud VMs are not supported.
